Watt density must match medium — high watt density causes degradation in reactive or temperature-sensitive chemicals. Safety cut-out mandatory for reactive media. ATEX versions available for Zone 1 and Zone 2. **IBC heaters:** Standard range 0–90°C. Food-safe variants available. Full-wrap design ensures uniform heating. Insulated IBC covers significantly reduce maintenance energy consumption. **ATEX:** Three parameters must all be satisfied: zone (0/1/2), temperature class (T1–T6), gas group (IIA/IIB/IIC). Category 2 (Zone 1) requires Notified Body EC Type Examination Certificate. Category 3 (Zone 2) allows manufacturer self-declaration. Common T-class requirements: diesel/naphtha = T3 (max 200°C surface), solvents including diethyl ether = T4 (max 135°C). **Heated transfer systems:** Every segment is a heat loss point — pump body, hose, valves, fittings. Must be designed as a complete thermal chain. Pump preheating mandatory before startup with high-viscosity media. **Structural drying:** Max safe surface temperatures: sand-cement screed 40°C, anhydrite screed stepped programme starting 25°C, fresh concrete +5°C frost protection, lime plaster 30–35°C, timber 45°C. Heating alone insufficient — dehumidification must run concurrently. **Silicone heaters:** Thin, flexible silicone rubber elements that conform to curved and flat surfaces with even watt density and fast thermal response. Typical continuous operating range up to about 200°C. Available as mats and pads for surfaces and plates, and as battery heaters that keep batteries within their working temperature range in cold environments to protect capacity and charging. Integrated thermostats or temperature sensors available. **Drum and IBC pumps:** Range covers electric drum pumps, manual hand pumps, air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pumps and laboratory pumps. The pump tube/wetted materials (PP, PVDF, stainless steel) must be matched to the chemical being handled. AODD diaphragm pumps are self-priming, can run dry without damage, and handle viscous media and solids; conductive variants are used for flammable liquids where electrostatic discharge must be controlled. Food-grade variants available. For high-viscosity media, preheat the medium and size the pump for the cold-start viscosity. ## Contact - [Contact HeatXperts](https://www.heatxperts.com/en/contact): engineering enquiries and system specification
