Jessberger Lab Pump Set JP-132 SS Chem for Solvents and Chemicals
- Stainless steel 316Ti pump tube Ø 32 mm — for solvents, flammable media, diluted acids/alkalis and liquid food
- Universal chemical and solvent hose included — broader compatibility than PVC or standard chemical hose
- Brass nickel-plated nozzle with PTFE seal — handles aggressive and solvent-based media
- JP-140 motor 450 W, up to 49 l/min — viscosity up to 400 mPas, max. temperature 90°C
- Connection thread G 1¼" — 1000 mm tube length for drums and IBCs
The JP-132 SS Chem is the stainless steel member of the JP-132 range — built for media that require metal wetted parts and broader solvent compatibility than PP or PVDF can provide. The 316Ti stainless steel tube handles diluted acids and alkalis, flammable solvents, organic compounds and thin liquid foods. The set is completed with a universal chemical and solvent hose and a brass/PTFE nozzle, giving the complete fluid path compatibility with the wider media range the SS tube opens up.
Purpose — Solvents, flammable media and universal chemical resistance
Where PP handles standard acids and alkalis, and PVDF handles the most concentrated aggressive acids, stainless steel 316Ti covers the broad middle ground — solvents, alcohols, esters, ketones, thin organic media and flammable liquids. It is also the material of choice when thin liquid food needs to be transferred, and when the pump will be used in classified zones where the stainless construction provides an advantage in low-viscosity flammable media applications. The universal chemical and solvent hose in the set extends this compatibility through the discharge path.
How it works in practice
The JP-140 motor drives a stainless steel shaft connected to an axial impeller at the base of the 316Ti pump tube. The 1000 mm tube length is suited to drums and IBCs. The motor attaches via connection thread G 1¼" — note the larger thread compared to the PP and PVDF versions. The ¾" (DN 19) outlet connects to the 2 m universal chemical and solvent hose included. The brass nickel-plated nozzle with ¾" PTFE seal handles aggressive and solvent-based media that would attack plastic nozzle materials.

- Laboratory use — organic solvents and reagents
Operational Requirements
- The impeller must be fully submerged during operation — do not run the pump dry
- Maximum medium temperature: 90°C
- Maximum viscosity: 400 mPas
- Container inner opening must accommodate Ø 32 mm tube with G 1¼" thread (approx. 40 mm minimum)
- For flammable media in classified zones, verify ATEX requirements with the appropriate rated equipment
- Not suitable for highly concentrated mineral acids — use JP-132 PVDF for those
