The JP-810.700 is the first 2" model in the JP-810 series — doubling the stroke volume to 3050 cm³ and lifting the flow ceiling to 700 l/min for operations where the 1½" platform is no longer sufficient. Viscosity handling rises to 50,000 mPas and maximum solid passing increases to 8.5 mm, extending the range into extreme-viscosity and heavily loaded media. All four housing materials are available — PP, PVDF, ALU and AISI 316 — and the ¾" air connection handles the higher air demand at full flow without restriction.

Purpose

The AODD operating principle means compressed air alternates between two chambers, driving a pair of flexible diaphragms back and forth. No electric motor contacts the fluid zone — making the JP-810.700 inherently safe for flammable and explosive media classified for ATEX Zone 2. The pump is fully self-priming, can run dry without damage and handles media containing suspended solids up to 8.5 mm. For applications involving high-viscosity media that require pre-heating before transfer, the pump pairs well with a HeatXperts drum heater to reduce viscosity to pumpable levels. Where stricter Zone 1 certification is required, the JP-810.700 Conductive version with carbon-filled housing is available as a separate product.

Selecting your housing

Housing selection determines chemical compatibility and dictates the standard internal configuration. PP is the all-round choice for acids, alkalis and most aqueous media — the standard configuration pairs a Hytrel diaphragm with PTFE balls and PP seats. PVDF handles highly aggressive media including strong oxidising acids and halogenated solvents that would compromise PP — the standard configuration uses a Santoprene/PTFE composite diaphragm with PTFE balls and PVDF seats. ALU (aluminium) is suited to solvents, fuels, oils and non-aqueous hydrocarbons — the standard configuration uses a Hytrel/NBR diaphragm with stainless steel seats. AISI 316 stainless steel covers highly corrosive aqueous media, strong acids and alkalis, and food or pharmaceutical process fluids — the standard configuration pairs a Hytrel/PTFE composite diaphragm with PTFE balls and stainless steel seats. Key features

  • AODD operating principle — no electrical components in the fluid path, inherently safe for flammable media
  • Dry-running capable — no mechanical seal, no damage if air supply continues with empty chamber
  • Self-priming — pulls liquid from 5 m dry or 9.8 m wet suction lift without manual priming
  • Passes solids to 8.5 mm — large-bore ball-check design handles heavily loaded or coarse slurry media
  • Adjustable flow and delivery head via inlet air pressure — no frequency inverter required
  • ¾" air connection — handles full-flow air demand without inlet restriction
  • Separable manifold — allows two different media to be pumped simultaneously
  • Easy field maintenance — modular design, standardised spare parts kit available
  • Available in PP, PVDF, ALU and AISI 316 housing — matched diaphragm and seal configuration per material

JP-810.700 performance curve — flow rate vs. delivery head at varying air pressure

Typical media by housing

  • PP: dilute acids, alkalis, detergents, aqueous chemical solutions, water treatment chemicals
  • PVDF: concentrated acids, oxidising agents, halogenated solvents, aggressive cleaning agents
  • ALU: solvents, fuels, oils, hydrocarbons, non-aqueous media compatible with aluminium
  • AISI 316: highly corrosive acids and alkalis, aggressive aqueous media, food and pharmaceutical process fluids

Applications

  • Road tanker and bulk storage emptying at full process rate — where 1½" connections restrict throughput
  • Transfer of extreme-viscosity process fluids up to 50,000 mPas — heavy polymers, bitumen and tar derivatives
  • High-volume coarse slurry transfer — 8.5 mm passing diameter for heavily loaded process streams
  • Large reactor and mixing vessel supply in chemical and petrochemical plants at 2" pipework scale
  • Offshore and marine high-flow fuel, chemical and ballast water transfer — ATEX Zone 2 environments
  • Large-scale food and pharmaceutical processing — AISI 316 housing for high-throughput hygienic operations

Operational Requirements

  • Air supply must be clean, dry and non-lubricated — do not use lubricated air (damages internal seals)
  • Inlet air pressure must not exceed 8 bar — operating above rated pressure reduces diaphragm life
  • Can be run dry without damage — no minimum flow requirement
  • Ensure fluid connection piping is adequately supported — do not use the pump housing as a pipe anchor
  • If the pump is stalled (air on, no flow), the diaphragm is under constant load — avoid prolonged stall conditions
  • Verify chemical compatibility for the specific medium and temperature before commissioning
  • Note: the PVDF product image shows the Conductive (black) version — the Standard PVDF pump is supplied in grey housing.
