Flood Repair Heater Mat is a professional surface heating solution designed to accelerate structural drying in buildings affected by water damage or flooding. When used in combination with industrial dehumidifiers, the heating mat increases evaporation rates within floors, walls and structural materials, significantly reducing overall drying time compared to natural evaporation.
The heater mat is developed specifically for restoration, remediation and drying applications where controlled surface heating is required. Its flexible and lightweight construction allows it to be placed directly on concrete floors or mounted on walls using suitable fixing methods, making it ideal for hard-to-reach or moisture-trapped areas.
Unlike conventional space heaters, the flood repair heater delivers heat directly to the affected surface. This targeted heating improves moisture migration from within the structure, enabling dehumidifiers to operate more efficiently and stabilise drying conditions faster.
The heater is supplied with an integrated thermostat and an additional one-time thermal fuse for safety. The power output is carefully calculated to maintain a stable operating temperature below the control limits when placed on concrete surfaces, allowing continuous operation without the need for an external controller.
Surface heating for dehumidification and structural drying
The Flood Repair Heater Mat is designed for professional drying tasks such as post-flood restoration, water damage repair and controlled building drying. The system is particularly effective for drying concrete slabs, screed floors, masonry walls and other dense construction materials where trapped moisture can prolong downtime.
Operating temperature in real-world applications
Although the heater is technically capable of reaching temperatures up to 130 °C, this represents the upper limit of the integrated safety thermostat and not the typical operating temperature during drying applications. In real-world use, the actual surface temperature is strongly influenced by ambient conditions, heat dissipation into the structure and continuous moisture evaporation.
Based on practical experience, the heater will normally operate at significantly lower temperatures, typically around 70–80 °C, when used for structural drying in combination with dehumidifiers. This temperature range is sufficient to accelerate evaporation effectively while remaining suitable for controlled, continuous drying of building materials.
Flexible installation and low operational impact
The heater mat can be laid flat on the floor without additional fixing. For wall applications, suitable mechanical fixing or clamping is required. The low-profile design allows the heater to operate silently and unobtrusively, making it suitable for use in occupied buildings, commercial premises and industrial environments.
Flood Repair Heater Mat – Large (470 × 1000 mm)
The Large Flood Repair Heater Mat (470 × 1000 mm) is designed for high-capacity structural drying of large surfaces such as concrete slabs, screed floors and open commercial areas. The increased surface area allows faster heat transfer and improved evaporation across wide sections.
This size is particularly effective in large-scale restoration projects, industrial buildings and insurance-related drying operations where reduced drying time is critical. Multiple large mats can be deployed in parallel to maximise drying performance in extensive flooded areas.
