ATEX IBC Heater SelfReg is a self-regulating ATEX IBC heater designed for safe temperature maintenance of standard 1000L IBC containers in hazardous areas. The heater is approved for use in ATEX Zones 1 and 2 (gas) and Zones 21 and 22 (dust) and is suitable for applications where explosive atmospheres may occur.
The heater is based on integrated self-regulating PTC heating technology, which automatically adjusts the heat output in response to the IBC surface temperature. As the temperature increases, the power output decreases. This inherent self-limiting behavior allows the IBC heater to operate safely without an external ATEX-certified temperature controller in standard applications within the specified temperature limits.
By eliminating the need for a separate ATEX controller, sensor and control enclosure, the ATEX IBC Heater SelfReg 230V / 1700W provides a genuine plug & play ATEX heating solution. This significantly simplifies installation and commissioning while reducing the total cost of ownership compared to conventional ATEX IBC heating systems.
The outer jacket is manufactured from durable, anti-static and water-repellent PVC with B2 flame-retardant properties, ensuring long service life in demanding industrial environments. Multiple fastening straps ensure secure attachment to the IBC container, while an integrated ATEX-certified junction box enables safe electrical connection and allows quick replacement of the power cable, minimizing maintenance downtime.
Controller-free ATEX IBC heating for 1000L containers
The ATEX IBC Heater SelfReg is designed for frost protection, temperature maintenance and gentle heating of temperature-sensitive media stored in IBC containers. No external temperature controller is required for basic operation. If an application demands monitored or process-controlled heating, the system can be combined with suitable ATEX-approved temperature control equipment.
