The ATEX Drum Heater SelfReg 200/220L is a self-regulating ATEX drum heater designed for safe temperature maintenance of large industrial drums in hazardous areas. It is approved for use in ATEX Zones 1 and 2 (gas) and Zones 21 and 22 (dust) and is suitable for applications where explosive atmospheres may occur.

The ATEX Drum Heater SelfReg is based on integrated self-regulating PTC heating technology, which automatically adjusts the heat output in response to the drum temperature. As the temperature increases, the power output decreases. This inherent self-limiting behavior allows the drum heater to operate safely in standard applications within the specified temperature limits — without an external ATEX-certified temperature controller.

By eliminating the need for a separate ATEX controller, sensor and control enclosure, the ATEX Drum Heater SelfReg 200/220L provides a genuine plug & play ATEX heating solution. This significantly simplifies installation and commissioning while reducing the total cost of ownership compared to conventional ATEX drum heating systems with external control.

The outer jacket is manufactured from durable, anti-static and water-repellent PVC with B2 flame-retardant properties, ensuring long service life in demanding industrial environments. An integrated ATEX-certified junction box enables safe electrical connection and allows quick replacement of the power cable, minimizing maintenance downtime.

The ATEX Drum Heater SelfReg 200/220L is designed for frost protection, temperature maintenance and gentle heating of temperature-sensitive media in large drums. No external temperature controller is required for basic operation. If an application demands monitored or process-controlled heating, the system can be combined with suitable ATEX-approved temperature control equipment. An optional insulated lid is available for 200–220L drums, improving heat retention and reducing energy consumption.
